# Is there any solace cli command to create topic like in IBM MQ

Hi @Sreenu , may I ask what you are trying to achieve? In Solace a topic is routing information in the message header and not something you create on the broker, as explained in this [blog](https://solace.com/blog/when-topics-arent-just-publish-subscribe/?_gl=1*x09iar*_ga*NDA4NTY5NjAyLjE3MTg4Nzc2MDE.*_ga_XZ3NWMM83E*MTcxODk2NjQzMC43LjEuMTcxODk2NjUxOS4wLjAuMA..) . If, however, you are trying to configure Durable Topic Subscriptions per the JMS spec then you can have a quick read on the semantics of those, [here](https://solace.com/blog/solace-endpoints-durable-vs-non-durable/) . The latter can be created through the CLI or SEMP, but you first need to be sure that is what you want.
