# Solace Agent Mesh Broker Connection Hanging Indefinitely

Hello,

I’m currently trying to create a solace agent mesh project after running

- sam init (left all info as default except for the LLM settings)
- sam run

The application tries to connect to the broker but the connection attempt goes on indefinitely.  
Has anyone experienced this before? What could cause the broker connection to hang like this?

Hi @Shereen,

Did you verify that the broker credentials you are using are active? Maybe try to use them in the try-me tab in your broker to confirm.

I’ll ping a solace agent mesh expert to see if they have other suggestions as well 🙂
