If you are building Solace applications with an AI coding agent, the agent has had no reliable grounding in Solace. It can invent API calls, guess at configuration, and reach for messaging patterns that will not scale. The Solace AI skills for JCSMP are now available to close that gap: your agent works from canonical Solace sources and follows our documented best practices. We started with JCSMP because it is our most widely used messaging API, and support for our other messaging APIs will follow.

What the skills do:

- Design mode helps you pick the right messaging pattern, publish/subscribe or request/reply, and the right delivery mode, guaranteed or direct.
- Implement mode generates a runnable Maven project wired to your existing broker.
- Topic architecture guidance is read from our canonical best practices page.
- Every generated project gets a verification checklist, separating what the skills handled from what is yours to review.
- A built-in feedback path turns your session into a ready-to-send report for Solace support, our ideas portal, or this community.

Install into Claude Code:

```auto
/plugin marketplace add SolaceProducts/agent-plugins
/plugin install solace-messaging-skills@solace-agent-plugins
```

The skills also ship in a generic markdown format that other compatible agents can consume:

```auto
npx skills add SolaceProducts/agent-plugins
```

Install instructions, the full skill list, and usage notes are in the repository, which is open source under Apache 2.0: [https://github.com/SolaceProducts/agent-plugins](https://github.com/SolaceProducts/agent-plugins), and in the [JCSMP developer guide](https://docs.solace.com/API/API-Developer-Guide-JCSMP/JCSMP-API-Developing-With-AI.htm).

I am excited about the opportunity this will unlock for our customers as they onboard new applications onto Solace quickly and reliably, with far less guesswork along the way.

With grounded, AI-assisted development,

This is great! Within 15 minutes of installing the skill I may or may not have found a bug in one of my projects 🫣
