The Solace Schema Registry Avro SERDES for .NET is now available on NuGet (v1.2.0). It enables schema-enforced messaging in applications built with the Solace Messaging API for .NET, validating each payload against an Avro schema resolved from the Solace Schema Registry as it is serialized and deserialized. It joins the JSON Schema SERDES for .NET released in July, so .NET applications now have the same Avro and JSON Schema support as JCSMP and Java applications.
What’s included in v1.2.0:
- Avro serialization and deserialization with validation against the resolved schema
- Automatic registration of schemas in the Schema Registry
- Resolution of schema references
- Schema selection by topic, record name, or explicit artifact reference
- Schema caching for efficient resolution
- Integration with the Solace Messaging API for .NET
- .NET Standard 2.0 for broad runtime compatibility
Use it alongside the Solace Messaging API for .NET version 10.29 or higher, which includes Schema Registry and SERDES support.
